Michael Tobin on the Matterhorn summit

Club member Michael Tobin summitted the Matterhorn this July.  Accompanied by Noel Cunneen, the intrepid pair left the Hornli Hut at 4.14am for the summit ascent and reached it just before midday.  Their descent took eleven hours making the total climb a gruelling nineteen hours.  Well done Michael, a great achievement and a thumbs up for senior citizens!
