join our club
We welcome applications from new members or associate members. If you are unsure if hillwalking is for you why not just give it a go? A new member can avail of 2 FREE WALKS before joining. If you are interested in availing of these introductory walks, just check out the Schedule of Walks for times and grades of walks and contact the Club Secretary or the walk leader in advance. People who have not walked with the club before must start with a 1* or 2* walk. The contact numbers for the leaders are on the Schedule of Walks.
The basic requirements for your first few days out with us would be a sense of adventure, suitable walking boots, a raincoat, food and water. There's a good deal of information on the ‘Safety On The Hills’ page, under ‘Guidelines For Hillwalkers’. As you progress with your walking, you will learn more about clothing and equipment from the more experienced members of the group.
